Morocco jails Irish paedophile

RABAT - A 67-year-old Irish national living in Morocco has been sentenced to a year in prison for the sexual abuse of two boys under 16, an anti-child abuse organisation said yesterday.
A fine of 10,000 dirhams (900 euros, 1,200 dollars) was also given to the defendant.
The Don’t Touch My Child organisation called the August 2 sentence handed out in Agadir in the south of the country "too light".
It's a good thing the old Irish was thrown to jail yak? but for one year only? Come on dear Moroccan government, the psycho abused TWO minors and he gets to be sentenced for ONE YEAR and pay a fine of $1200.00 ONLY?
WHY? Because Moroccan Kids are cheap sheeps ?

That is Moroccan justice.
a pedophile that prefers boys isn't necessary gay. They have almost time adult heterosexual life. please don't mix things and get your check information before.
then i couldn't find any reliable reports about this affair. so it's likely that it was an attempt, not a rape, or simply not enough evidences. in short we don't know the circumstances, while the court do. let them do their job, they know better.

I am not sure I can agree with your comment. YOu could check the constitution of any country and laws they impose on sex offenders and then only then you will be surprise by how light the sentence was given to that Irish sex predator.
Mind you, the guy was not put on probation. Is that a law?
My understanding, the Moroccan government is not quite familiar with these special cases and unfortuntately there aren't laws that make sure they won't victimize other minors.
